First tries to reload and re-save the file with a lenient parser. If the file is too damaged for that, it falls back to rendering every page it still can and rebuilding a fresh PDF from those.
How to use Repair PDF
- Add the PDF that won't open properly.
- Tap Run.
- Download the repaired file. If some pages were unreadable, they're skipped rather than the whole job failing.

Will this always fix a PDF?
No — some files are corrupted beyond what any tool can recover. This handles common structural issues and can rebuild readable pages as images when the original structure can't be salvaged.
Will text still be selectable after a fallback repair?
Only if the normal repair path worked. The image-based fallback produces pages that look right but aren't searchable, since they're rendered as pictures of the page.
