How accurate is the color picker?
It reads the exact pixel value from the canvas at full image resolution, so values are 100% accurate to the source image data.
How does palette extraction work?
We use a median-cut color quantization algorithm that samples pixels across the image, clusters similar colors, and returns the most visually distinct dominant colors — similar to what design tools like Adobe do.
Can I export the full palette?
Click any palette swatch to select it and copy its hex code. We'll be adding a full palette export (CSS, JSON, ASE) soon.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes! On touch devices, tap the image to pick a color. The magnifier is enabled on hover for mouse users.
