Frequently Asked Questions

What is "Auto-Fix" mode?
Auto-Fix detects pages where the width is greater than the height (landscape orientation) and applies a 90° clockwise rotation to make them portrait. It does not modify pages that are already portrait. This is ideal for scanned documents where some pages were accidentally scanned sideways.
Does this change the actual page content or just the view rotation?
It sets the PDF page rotation property, which is the standard PDF mechanism for display orientation. All PDF viewers (Adobe, browser, mobile) respect this property. The raw page content coordinates are unchanged, meaning the file is fully compatible with all PDF tools.
What if I only want to rotate specific pages?
The page list shows each page's current orientation. You can use Force Portrait or Force Landscape for bulk changes. For granular per-page control, use our PDF Page Extractor to split the document, fix each group, then use Merge PDF to combine them back.
Can I undo a rotation?
Run the tool again on the output file and apply the opposite rotation (e.g. if you applied 90° CW, now apply 270° CW) to reverse it. The file quality is preserved since no re-encoding occurs.
