Frequently Asked Questions

Does reordering affect page quality?
No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte from the original PDF using pdf-lib. All fonts, images, annotations, and vector graphics are preserved at 100% original quality — only the page sequence changes.
How does the manual order input work?
Enter page numbers separated by commas, e.g. "3,1,2" to put page 3 first. You can also repeat pages: "1,2,2,3" includes page 2 twice. Click Apply Order and the tiles will rearrange to match.
What does the Odd→Even Split preset do?
It reorders pages so all odd-numbered pages come first, followed by all even-numbered pages: 1,3,5,7…,2,4,6,8…. This is useful for certain duplex printing workflows where odd and even sides are printed separately.
Can I delete a page while reordering?
Yes! Hover over any page tile and click the ✕ button to remove it from the output. It will be excluded from the saved PDF. Click Reset Order to restore all pages if needed.

PDF Page Reordering — Practical Uses

PDF reordering is essential when pages are scanned out of sequence, chapters are merged in the wrong order, or duplex print files need page separation. With our drag-and-drop interface, what would take software expertise becomes a 30-second browser task.

💡 Fix scanned document order

Flatbed scanners often produce pages in reverse order. Use the Reverse preset to instantly flip a scanned PDF back to the correct reading order.

💡 Interleave front/back scans

If you scanned odd and even pages separately, use manual order input to interleave them: 1,6,2,7,3,8… for perfect duplex reconstruction.

💡 Move a cover page

Drag your title/cover tile to position 1 without touching any other pages — perfect when a cover was accidentally placed last in a merged PDF.

💡 Create reading order variants

Need both a print version and a digital version? Reorder once for print (with back-matter first) and once for digital (front-matter first) — two downloads, same source file.
